Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 15, 2026

GlucoPress ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Data Collection and Storage

Local Storage: GlucoPress is a local-first application. All blood glucose measurements, blood pressure readings, medication logs, meal types, timestamps, and settings you enter are stored exclusively on your device using local storage (AsyncStorage). We do not transmit your health data to any external servers.

No Personal Accounts: We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal identification (name, email, phone number) to use the application.

Offline Functionality: The core features of the application work entirely offline. Your health data never leaves your device.

2. Third-Party Services

Advertising (Free Users): The free version of GlucoPress uses Google AdMob to display banner advertisements. Google AdMob may collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, and general usage data to serve personalized ads. For more information, visit Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising).

In-App Purchases & Subscriptions: GlucoPress offers a Premium subscription managed through RevenueCat. RevenueCat processes subscription transactions and may collect purchase-related data (such as subscription status and transaction history) to manage your subscription. RevenueCat does not receive your health data. For more information, visit RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Push Notifications: If you enable medication or glucose reminders, GlucoPress uses your device's local notification system (via Expo Notifications). No notification data is sent to external servers.

No Analytics: We do not use third-party analytics services to track your usage behavior or health data.

No HealthKit/Health Connect Integration: We do not access or share data with Apple Health, Google Health Connect, or any other third-party health platforms.

3. Health Data Privacy

Your Health Information: All blood glucose measurements, blood pressure readings, medication logs, and related health data you enter are stored locally on your device. This sensitive information is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties.

Medication Data: Medication names, dosages, types, and dose logs are stored locally on your device only. We do not share this information with any third party.

No Data Sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share your health data with any third parties for marketing, research, or any other purposes.

4. Data Security

Since your data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device's security settings. We recommend using device-level security features such as passcodes, Touch ID, or Face ID to protect your information.

5. Data Deletion

You have full control over your data. You can delete individual entries within the app or remove all data by uninstalling the application. Uninstalling GlucoPress will permanently remove all locally stored health data.

6. Children's Privacy

GlucoPress is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date on this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
